We were briefed to create a Peapod commercial for the Mobile web, a shopping app that delivers groceries to your doorstep anywhere at anytime. The concept came about through realizing what is to happen to all the thousands of shopping carts after all shopping experiences go digital. They will be abandoned and left to fend for themselves in a human dominated world, or will they start their own colony of abandoned shopping carts that has no place for humans? This lighthearted ad interprets this future of shopping carts through the “wheels” of one lonely cart. Although this ad was shot in location in Bloemfontein, South Africa the clients were from the United States of America and the workflow worked tremendously.
